At 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, this middle infielder showed good feel with the glove, and soft hands. He moved well with a strong lower half and had an arm that was quick, with life on his throws at 81 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Warner has the arm strength to play both positions on the left side of the diamond but ultimately projects to be a middle guy. A left-handed hitter with the ability to hit the ball to all fields, shows a balanced swing with some power to pull side. At times would cast and get too big. Keegan has the ability to be a gap to gap hitter at the next level, showing off an 83 mph exit velocity. Tools and actions are there for him to be a successful player at the next level.
2.15.15
5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Has put on size and strength since last seen him in October 2014. Ran a 4.69 out the box to first and a 5.35 in the 40-yard dash. At the plate, hits from a crouched, athletic position with a small leg kick and nice easy load with hands. Bat path works down to ball while staying balanced and online. Gets hands through nicely with a quick, uphill finish. Projects to be a line drive, gap type hitter. Showed some bat speed during his batting practice round. Exit velocity was 83 mph. Defensively, showed good feel with the glove, moved well with an agile and strong lower half. Arm was quick with some life to his throws. Was 80 mph across the diamond. Ate the ball up and worked well to both arm and glove side. Showed athleticism, could profile as a solid second baseman with a quality left-handed stick at the next level.
10/26/14
5-foot-11, 170-pound strong, athletic build. Hands worked well, good transfer to ¾ slot that was 79 mph across infield. Athletic actions on the defensive side, lower half had some bounce. Offensively, closed off stance with small load and stride. Slight uppercut in swing, exit velocity was 81 mph showing strength and 40 time was 5.32. Warner is a 2016 with some good actions and athleticism.
