Right-handed pitcher at 6-foot, 180-pounds. Works from 3/4 arm slot with clean action that is on time throughout his delivery. Lots of natural run and sink on 81 mph fastball. Induces a lot of groundballs, fills the zone and attacks hitters with his heater. Curveball had good downward action, feel for pitch and was able to throw for strikes at 71 mph. Changeup worked in low 70's, at best when maintained arm speed and would see good action on ball down in the zone. Uses legs and backside, good understanding and pitchability on the mound. Will work hitters, change speeds and keep off balance, efficient.
4/4/15
Two-way player who stands 6-foot, 185-pounds with room to add muscle. Ran a 4.78 from home to first and was timed at 5.53 in the 40-yard sprint. At the plate, starts with a slightly closed stance and uses a small stride to separation. Hands are relaxed and work to contact. Very quiet approach, stays balanced and under control with average bat speed. Exit velocity was 79 mph. In the field, Snow made all the plays and was under control. Quicker feet will help with agility and first step. Arm was clean and plays from third base as he clocked at 80 mph. Off the mound, Justin showed clean mechanics and the ability to get out front and throw downhill. His high-¾ arm slot showed late run with his fastball while showing good feel for the strike zone, topping out at 80 mph. Justin’s changeup clocked in at 70-72 mph and had great depth, while his breaking ball was more of a slurve at 64-66 mph. With a tendency to get around his breaking ball, Snow made a quick adjustment on the fly to get on top. Justin has room for growth and is a 2017 grad, which makes him an intriguing pitcher to keep an eye on.
