8.16.18 Uncommitted senior who has continued to make strides. 5-foot-10, 165-pounds, ran a 7.15 sixty and was 89 mph from the outfield with accuracy and carry on his throws as he approached balls cleanly with controlled footwork and his legs underneath him. At the plate, approach is more advanced, controlled barrel with small toe-tap to load. Gets hands and barrel in position to hit, sprayed the ball gap to gap with line drives and hard contact. Much improved and a guy that should continue to trend upwards. Definite college guy coaches need to be on.
4.15.17 - Armstrong is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete with room and tools to develop Moved well defensively both in the outfield and infield, arm is clean with short action in the back, gets outfront and was 84 from outfield and 82 from the infield. Hands show feel with room to soften up. At the plate, balanced and creates rhythm, hands load up with some length to swing, does good job of moving the barrel through the zone with some whip and extension on swing, added strength will play key role in polishing his offensive side. One to watch as the 2019 grad develops and matures over next few years.
