9.9.17 - Monden, a 2019 grad with room to develop physically at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. Quiet stroke from left side, hands work back, stays in legs and does a nice job of working inside the ball. Line drive approach with more bat speed to come as he matures. Good foundation to work with and had one of the more consistent swings on the day. Arm was 76 across the infield as he would fall open at end of throws, hands worked out front and profiles as a second baseman. On the mound, no red flags, gets over the rubber, stays balanced and works in the zone with his stuff. Arm slot is near high-3/4 and throws breaking ball with 10/4 shape. Biggest tool at the moment is the bat, will be interesting to see after a winter in the weight room.
