At the plate, Hawkins starts upright, hands start in a high, loaded position, gets going quickly with his lower half, slight leg kick, rushes a little, hands extend to the ball. Defensively looks comfortable in the outfield, good actions, smooth pickup, needs to gain a little more ground with his crow hop, 75 mph velocity. Hawkins is a strong 2017 grad who’s body gives him the ability to project well.
