6-foot-1, 155-pound lean frame with wiry strength. Arm showed some life, worked with regular effort from ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 77 mph and was able to throw for strikes. At times would change delivery on off-speed, slowed arm down. Curveball had 11/5 shape between 68-70 mph, straight changeup at 68-70 mph. Few tweaks and strength gains will play significant role for Fabregas.
6/24/15
Increased pop time and velocity from behind the dish as Fabregas was a 2.12 with a velocity of 71 mph. Starts slightly open behind the plate and shows a clean transfer with an arm slot that at times can get to low. Better carry on ball when he is on top. At the plate, swing has improved as well. Exit velocity was 71 mph. Starts with a fairly wide stance and gets hands back with a medium pickup and stride. Stays online and balanced. Works more to pull side, need to keep getting extension through the ball. A 2017 grad who has improved since last showcase, room to get stronger and fill out.
10/26.14
6-foot, 140-pound projectable frame. Defensively behind the plate, set-up was proper, pop time was 2.36 while velocity was 67 mph. Needs to gain more ground and keep legs involved when throwing to second. Offensively, starts open with some loose actions with the bat. Small load and stride with slight rock to backside. Exit velocity was 69 mph while the 40 time registered at 5.47.
