9.10.17 Intriguing 2020 LHP with an athletic frame that should fill out. Short arm delivery from a ¾ slot with deception. Arm works without restriction creating a solid downward plane. Repeatable delivery. Fastball was at 76 with some natural movement and command. Curveball was at 65 with late break and tight rotation. Projectable spin and finish. Flashed a few really good ones that fell off the table. CH needs developing, as there was little difference from the Fastball. Polished 15 year old that will continue to develop. Was able to work quickly during game action while pounding the strike zone and using his curveball to put hitters away. Did show some feel at the plate from the left side and found the barrel multiple times and some pop to his pull side. PLays a solid first base but with his actions and ability to spin the ball, we feel Pollard will end up on the mound with lots of upside to come.
10.23.16 2020 grad with young features and long legs to his 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Room and time to mature physically, controlled body showing some athleticism on the mound with an idea of how to pitch. Arm gets up quick in the back but stays on time throughout delivery. Kept ball down with three pitches, feel for curveball is there, threw some really good ones that had late bite to them. Fastball had tailing action to his arm side, worked to both sides of the plate while changeup was up and firm at times. Young left-handed arm that works with potential of three average pitches. 74 mph fastball will add velocity as he develops and gets stronger, one to keep an eye on over the next year.
