5-foot-11, 206-pound big body first baseman with good athleticism. Very quiet setup at the plate, feet begin wide, hands start back, first movement of the bat gives him a longer swing, still gets out front for contact, 77 mph exit velocity. In the field moves well, comfortable around the bag, feet are always moving, shows the glove early, stays down. Shapton is a 2017 grad who will progress as a first baseman.
