6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher with lanky, athletic build. Projects best as a pitcher at the next level. Uses a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed and long arm action. Delivery requires regular effort. Fastball sat 84-87 mph with some run. Uses a hard 72-75 mph breaking ball with 10/4 movement. Also showed a 74-75 mph changeup that is thrown near fastball arm speed, but didn’t show much movement. In the infield, he shows the athleticism to play the infield or outfield. Registered a 6.79 60-yard dash. Showed 79 mph arm strength across the infield. Doesn’t show consistent, fluid actions. Tendency to get flat. His athleticism and arm strength may be better suited for the outfield long term. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts with a tall set up. Needs to maintain balance throughout his swing. Bat path has a tendency to get long, but he still shows strength in his swing.
10/28/12
6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way prospect. Good physical projection in body. Good two-shot guy. On the mound, has good delivery with quick, easy arm action through upper 3/4 slot. Fastball shows good late life in zone (83-85 mph). Has downward spin on curve (69-71 mph) with some depth and excellent arm action on change (70-72 mph). Ran 7.04 60-yard dash. Has good infield skills with good arm strength. Upright hitting stance, shoulder trigger with power potential. Good finish and lower half.
8/1/12
6-foot-3, 165-pound two-way prospect. Good raw skills, ran 6.9 60-yard with decent arm strength (76 mph). Reaction type infielder (3B-2B) or corner outfielder. Hits with upright stance with batspeed and power potential. Could improve with more lower half torque. Good mound presence as a hurler. Has balanced delivery with moderate arm speed from 3/4 slot. Good arm extensions. Fastball shows some late life, ranging 82-84 mph. Excellent arm action on changeup (73-74 mph) with some arm side run. Curveball has downward spin, ranging 65-68 mph.
