A 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect. At the plate he hits from the left-side, starting in a taller setup. Simple approach, using a bat tip during his short stride. Strong kid with noticeable whip through the zone. Bat speed is average to above average. Showed feel for the barrel. Was very good when he stayed through contact as he has a tendency to spin off at contact. Consistently sprayed line drive to both fields when barrel flowed to the middle of the field. In the outfield he gets to the baseball in a timely fashion using clean footwork. Plays through the baseball with average to slightly above average ball skills. Arm is long and loose through an over the top slot. Arm strength is slightly above average presently with more in there. On the mound, the left-handed pitching prospect shows a low effort, rhythmic delivery. Works through a smooth leg lift prior to his drive load. Body works downhill. Activates his lower half through strong back hip load. Arm works well through a high top delivery. Strong back leg kick to a balanced finished with a slight drop-off to the third base side. Fastball has solid zip and stays straight through the zone. Locates his fastball well. Complements his fastball with a solid 12-6 curve delivered from a slightly dropped arm slot. Curveball shows more developing potential. Performed best when starting the at-bat with a well located fastball, getting ahead in the count and allowing him to go to his go to strikeout curveball pitch.
