5-foot-10, 150 pounds with an average, athletic frame. Ran a 5.36 40-yard dash time. In the outfield, he throws through a 3/4 slot and topped out at a near showcase best 79 mph. Average hands. Needs to clean up overall footwork technique. At the plate, the left handed hitter uses a slightly open stance with small leg kick stride. Shows substantial use of lower half, and currently is a linedrive type hitter. Swing features smooth fluidity with some pull tendencies. Reached a top exit velocity of 77 mph. Nice 2016 prospect that will be worth keeping an eye on. On the mound, the southpaw throws through a 3/4 slot with short/stiff arm action. Some quickness in arm speed. 71-75 mph fastball displayed significant arm-side run. Tended to struggle with overall feel of his 62-66 mph slider that featured some sharpness. Also threw a 62-65 mph changeup. Still learning how to become a pitcher, but has plenty of time to do so.

Dockery is a very impressive hitting 2016. At the plate he shows a very compact swing and has an advanced approach with an athletic stance and load. He shows good barrel whip and a good swing plane. Dockery is definitely a 2016 to keep an eye on. To put himself in with the top level outfielders Dockery will have to continue to improve his 60 time.
