8/1/17
6-foot, 175-pound prospect. A righty bat that has a fluid loading sequence. Barrel launches from a vertical position, giving him whip and early bat speed. Path is level with some natural loft. Bat speed is an above average tool and barrel gets through contact well. Much more juice in there once he fills out frame. Line drive guy presently who flashes gap pop. In the outfield he uses athletic footwork approaching the baseball. Plays through with ease and fluidity. Looks confident and athletic. Showed above average arm strength to home plate. On the mound the southpaw has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Goes with a high leg lift, staying tall at balance point. Arm really works well through a high-¾ slot. Fastball gets out of his hand well, staying true through the zone. Spins a tight breaking ball that works on a 1/7 plane. Throws the pitch firm, giving it depth. Not a big breaker but does enough to miss barrels or produce weak contact.

2/5/17
5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect. An outfielder that looked athletic approaching the baseball. Gets adequate momentum into his throws with his lower half. Throws were on target for the most part. A switch hitter at the plate. From the right-side he uses a knee pinch to get things started. Stays fluid throughout his loading sequence. Produced solid whip through the zone with above average bat speed. Consistently produced line drives in batting practice. From the left side he has a similar approach mechanically. Keeps the same fluidity. Takes an uphill path to the ball. Worked mostly to pull side. Looks to be more advanced from the right side at this stage. On the mound, the southpaw shows some quickness in arm speed as he throws with long arm action through a ¾ slot. Simple mechanics which allows him repeat his delivery consistently. Fastball tends to stay straight as it sits between 74-77 mph and reached up to 78 mph at times. Breaking ball shows promise with its late breaking 1/7 action at 64-67 mph. Also mixes in a 68-70 mph changeup.
