6/6/17 A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. At 6-foot-7, LoPiccolo brings an intimidating presence on the mound. Uses long back arm action and works through an over the top slot. Fastball works downhill at 80-81 mph and he was mostly in the zone with the offering. His go to offering is his 67-71 mph curveball. The pitch has some sharpness to it while working on a 12/6 plane. Did a nice job of filling up the zone with both offerings.

Not a ton of effort in delivery as his fastball sits between 79-82 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 break at 68-69 mph. Also mixes in a 74-76 mph changeup that flashes some diving action.

Arm action is relatively clean with definite quickness to his arm. Fastball works on a downhill plane at 77-80 mph. His best offspeed pitch is his 12/6 breaking ball. The offering showed solid depth with some sharpness to it at 64-67 mph. Also mixed in a changeup near fastball arm speed.
1/16/17 A right-handed pitcher with a very high ceiling. Has fluidity to his delivery that he is able to repeat. Works through a near over the top slot with above average arm speed. Fastball works on a very downhill plane at 79-82 mph. Breaking ball was very sharp when down in the zone, has tendency to leave the pitch up at times. The pitch comes in at 66-68 mph on a 12/6 plane. Was able to maintain fastball arm speed on his changeup that showed fade to it.

Throws from a short, high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 71-75 mph with arm side run. He spins a breaking ball with 11/5 tilt at 60-64 mph and shows good arm speed on his changeup at 67 mph. Struck out three in his outing.

Fastball:Works downhill at 84-87 mph. With his length and slot that pitch is hard to elevate. Curveball:Near 12/6 shape with bigger action. Pitch grades out as an above average offering. Pitchability:In/out throughout outing.
