6-foot-5, 190-pound pitcher with tall, physical build. Continues to grow and improve each time that we see him. Throws through high 3/4 arm slot with some quickness. Tends to cut it off a bit. Slight inward turn out of the windup. Fastball showed occasional run at 83-85 mph. Breaking ball shows gradual 12/6 action at 66-69 mph.
7/29/13
6-foot-3, 205-pound pitcher with tall, solid frame that will fill out in time. Shows some quickness in his arm speed through a high ¾ arm slot. Tends to his swing open but manages to stay closed with his lower half. Will add velocity as this stays on line and improves. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with some run. Relies on a 65-68 mph breaking ball with gradual 11/5 break.
6/26/13
6-foot-3, 205-pound right-handed pitching prospect. Uses long arm action through high ¾ arm slot. Tall and fall type delivery with regular effort. Consistently located his fastball down in the zone at 82 mph with arm side run. His curveball showed 11/5 break at 64-66 mph. Also uses a 70-71 mph changeup thrown near fastball arm speed with some fade. Interesting follow. Clean arm action. Should only add velocity as he better incorporates his lower half.
