6/13/16 5-foot-9, 150-pound athletic frame. Starts in a wide setup at the plate. Uses a toe turn load to get efficient use out of his lower half. Starts with the bat vertical creating natural whup through the zone. Some batspeed through the zone. Reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 5.03 from home to first. Moves fluidly in the infield with the ability to make plays to both sides. Looks the part. Adjustment would be to field the ball out in front more consistently. Threw across the diamond with 76 mph arm strength.
6/16/14 5-foot-9, 155-pound young, thin body frame with room to fill. From the catcher’s position he throws with a short arm action coming from a ¾ slot creating a top velocity of 73 mph. Weight tends to leak towards third base side, needs get his footwork moving in a more linear direction towards second base which will improve his accuracy and pop times that were between 2.07-2.16. From the infield he stops his feet, he needs to be more aggressive and play through the baseball. Has a tendency to let ball creep in on him a little too far, would like to see hands more out front as he fields. More of a second base type at this point as an infielder, uses a short arm action through ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 72 mph. Offensively, he begins with a balanced set up, no present hand trigger, no stride, very simple contact type swing. Needs to incorporate more lower half to produce more power, reached a top exit velocity of 72 mph. Ran a 4.77 down the line to first base.
