Top exit velocity was 83 mph and he ran a 7.26 from home to first. Efficient footwork behind the plate. Above average receiving skills. Needs to speed up his transfer on his throws to second. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.09, and he threw to second base with 73 mph arm strength. Does a good job handling the staff.

Throws with clean arm action from a high 3/4 slot. Throws were consistently accurate and on the bag. Had the best velocity to second base of the day at 74 mph. He throws using a clean, short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot, using 72 mph velocity to produce pop times between 2.14-2.17. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance, with his hands starting at his back shoulder and no load to them. He uses simple swing mechanics, showing the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. He reached a top exit velocity of 77 mph and ran a 4.96 out of the batter’s box to first base. On the mound he uses regular effort to his delivery, landing in a straight line at foot strike. He throws with a short arm action, using average arm speed coming from an upper ¾ slot. His fastball was between 76-79 mph. Topped out at 74 mph, while recording pop time splits between 2.13 and 2.26. The right handed hitter uses a bent stance with short stride. Short compact stroke. Displayed linedrive type production with the ability to use the entire field. Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph off the tee. On the mound, the 2017 prospect definitely shows some potential. High 3/4 slot with short arm action. Smooth rhythm. Consistently pounded the zone with his 75-77 mph straight fastball. His 67-68 mph curveball features some sharp, late breaking 12/6 movement. Also threw in a 68-70 mph changeup with near fastball arm speed.
