6/20/17 A two-way prospect in the 2018 class. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller, open setup. Loading sequence is quiet and fluid. Hands stay loose prior to launch. Flashed well above average bat speed on a level path. Showed feel for the barrel consistently producing line drive. An all fields hitter with gap to gap pop. A middle infielder that moves light on his feet and has a quick first step. Glove plays in and out of his funnel. Lateral mobility will need to continue to improve to stay on the left side of the infield. Has the arm to play the left side. Brings an athletic presence to the mound. Has an uptempo delivery and works quickly. Throws his fastball/changeup combination with confidence. Arm has obvious quickness to it, with slinging arm action. The combination of his arm action and ¾ slot put solid run on his 78-82 mph fastball. Maintains his arm speed on his changeup. The pitch comes out of his well, with fade to it at 71-74 mph. Only showed the breaking ball a few times but it showed signs of being an above average offering. The pitch has some depth and sharpness to it, on an 11/5 plane at 69-71 mph. Home to First: 4.64 Infield Velocity: 81 Exit Velocity: 82
7/26/16
Potential two-way prospect from Northern Ohio. In the middle field, showed a solid glove, plenty of arm strength and a good approach to the ball. Handled the pivot very well and showed confidence during the workout. Threw 79 mph across the diamond with carry and accuracy. The arm is his best tool. Ran a 4.47 down the line on his dig. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 76 mph as he hits out of an even base, relaxed hand setup and a clean, flat path to the ball. Has a hitters frame as the arms are short. Needs to continue to get stronger physically and continue to play. On the mound, showed a clean, quick arm. Fastball had good arm side action to it, touching 82 mph. The spin pitch is going to be a good one, as it is already touching 74 mph. The changeup is 65 mph and needs spin tweaking. Delivery is repeated, showed an athletic lift, good tracking of the shoulders and the ability to throw strikes.
