8/1/17
6’1, 175-pound prospect. At the plate the righty gets things going with a double tap. Hands stay simple prior to launch. Path is slightly downhill with some bat speed in there. Strength is top tool at the plate. Ball comes off his bat well. Has some natural loft to his swing giving him pull side pop. More juice left in there. Showed middle of the lineup potential. Produces three hits in game play, highlighted by a double in the gap. A middle infielder with confident, athletic actions. Showed some bounce out of his stance with well above average lateral mobility. Hands are soft and glove works. Glove skills stay on the move. Solid all around infielder. On the bump, the right-handed pitching prospect brings a tall, athletic build. Shows a smooth wind-up with unique arm action. Creates a lot of his energy from a strong scap load and smooth back hip drive. Has a high leg kick into a unique but efficient delivery. Fastball is located well and stays mostly true through the zone. Broke off a solid 12/6 spinner with good break. Was able to work in his curveball into multiple different counts. Varied the use of his fastball and curveball well keeping the hitters off balanced. Worked best when he got ahead in the count and was able locate the strikeout pitch.

7/6/16
6-foot, 160-pound thinner, projectable body frame. Right handed hitter starts from a more spread out stance, using a toe-tap back that helps to incorporate strength with his lower half. He uses a fluid load with his hands moving to his back shoulder. Swings with a mostly level bat path through the zone, finishing with a two-handed follow through. He showed the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. Reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. In the infield, he shows good footwork. Fields out in front of his body, funnels the ball into his body before transitioning into a high ¾ slot. Throws with 75 mph arm strength. On the mound, he shows good direction to the plate, occasionally falls off towards the first base side of the mound. Throws with a long back arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 78-82 mph. Curveball sat 68-69 mph with gradual break. Changeup sat 73-75 mph.
