Body Type: 6-foot-1 180-pound right-handed pitching prospect with room to add strength to a solid frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Fluid delivery, uses a hip load and creates some shoulder tilt. Works in-line, uses a long arm action working out of a ¾ slot.
Fastball: 79-81 mph fastball works on a downward plane with late run to the arm side.
Curveball: 63-68 mph curveball works on a 11/5 tilt. The pitch has tight rotation and is fairly sharp.
Changeup: 73-75 mph changeup is thrown with fastball like arm speed. The pitch is mostly straight with occasional slight run to the arm side.
Pitchability: True three pitch mix. Breaking ball and changeup are both above average pitches and showed the ability to throw both for strikes. Creates good angle on the fastball but needs to improve overall command of the pitch moving forward.
Role: Good starting option at the high school level. Likely at bullpen type arm at the college level at this stage of development.
7/18/17 A 5-foot-11, 145-pound prospect. On the bump the right-hander has a fluid, repeatable delivery. A tall and fall type guy that lands in line to home plate. Does a nice job creating direction with his lower half, finishing with energy coming towards home plate. Arm works through a high-¾ slot with developing arm speed. Arm action is clean and he should grow into more velocity as he matures. There is some looseness in there. Fastball had slight cut to it and was consistently in the zone. Worked mostly with the fastball, but spun an 11/5 breaking for his secondary option of choice. Throws the pitch firm, giving it depth with enough movement to produce inconsistent contact.
