5-foot-8, 152 pound shortstop that offers solid tools at the plate and in the field.  Could also play 2B at the next level.  Throwing from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action, Hake topped out at 83 mph across the diamond.  He offers very quick footwork in the field, allowing him to cover a sufficient amount of ground.  Also showed some quickness with his exchange.  At the plate, the right handed hitter uses a straight on balanced stance with short stride.  Using a short compact swing with level swing path, Hake projects a fairly high contact rate.  Doesn’t offer a ton of power, but will spray linedrives to all fields.

5-foot-8, 145-pound middle infielder. Showed fluid actions in the infield. He receives the ball well and shows some quickness in his transfer while reaching a top velocity of 83 mph across the infield. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts form a slight crouch and used rotational mechanics. He shows a good rhythm to his swing and good bat speed into the zone (81 mph exit velocity). Registered 7.22 60-yard dash.

Hake is a 5-foot-8, 145-pound SS/2B from Youngstown, Ursiline HS. He will be participating in the PA Underclass Games in September.

9/26/12 Hake showcased one of the top infield arms at the event at 77mph. He displayed good range and soft hands in the middle infield. Hake threw three solid innings in game play topping at 80mph. He had a solid day at the plate on Sunday going 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and two RBI.
