7/18/17
A 5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect. The right-handed hitter positions himself in a balanced seutp. Load is fluid, creating energy and balance. His bat tip movement creates solid barrel whip and plane. Path is level with above average bat speed. Strength is top tool, showing present gap pop and flashing pull side power. A third baseman with athleticism to his actions. Has feel for the spot, with solid footwork. Glove skills are above average and work on the move. Has enough to stay at the position. On the mound the right-hander has a slower pace to a delivery that requires some effort. Uses a chest high leg lift prior to his stride. Tall and fall type guy. Arm action is shorter and clean. Arm speed is above average and he throws all offerings with intent. Ball gets out of his hand well with his fastball having more giddyup than velocity would suggest. Fastball had occasional run to his arm side. His secondary offering of choice was the breaking ball. Looked confident in the 11/5 shaped spinner that had depth and sharpness.

5-foot-10, 168-pound athletic frame. A righty swinger that starts in a balanced set up before taking a short stride forward. His bat tip gives him natural whip through the zone. Average batspeed. Stronger than he is fast with the bat. Top exit velocity was 74 mph. In the infield he does a nice job of playing low and fielding the ball out in front of his body. Could play through the ball more efficiently. Threw across the infield with 76 mph arm strength. On the mound the right hander uses a fastball/curveball combo. His delivery requires some effort. Does a nice job of creating momentum towards home plate with his lower half. Fastball showed some cut to it while sitting 69-72 mph. Curveball had an 11/5 shape with gradual break at 60-61 mph.
