6/6/16 5-foot-10, 167-pound athletic frame. Is a very fast twitch athlete that showed the ability to create large amounts of batspeed with simple mechanics. He starts slightly open and uses a toe turn load to get his lower half involved. Does a decent job with the lower half but still has room to become more efficient. What makes him affective at the plate is how early he gets his barrel on plane with the ball. This allows him to use that explosive batspeed to make flush contact with the ball. The result as we saw in his batting practice is the ability to drive the ball with authority, especially to his pull side. Topped out at 97 mph exit velocity off the tee and ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Athleticism translates well to the middle infield. Likely to play 2B over SS at the next level. Arm strength has room for improvement. Top velocity of 76 mph. Still, shows some quickness to his transfer and release. Occasionally, fields the ball too close to the body. Will be aided by consistently getting the ball out in front.
5/31/16 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic frame. A talented prospect with much more pop at the plate then his size would indicate. Registered impressive 96 mph exit velocity off the tee. Ball jumps off his bat in batting practice as he drove multiple balls deep into the gap and put one out of the park. Better to his pull side at this stage. In the infield he moves well with above average lateral mobility. Has confidence in his glove with quickness to his transfer. Threw across the infield with 80 mph arm strength. Profiles as a really offensive second baseman. Ran a 4.5 from home to first.
1/31/16 5-foot-10, 167-pound athletic, muscular frame. At the plate the right-hander has a ton of bat speed. Registered and impressive exit velocity of 95 mph. Starting slightly open he uses a rhythmic, knee pinch load and keeps his hands simple to let his explosive bat speed go to work. The ball jumped off his bat in batting practice and showed power potential to his pull side. Still could get more out of his lower half. Also ran an impressive 4.02 from home to first. In the infield he has quick, athletic footwork with softness and confidence in his glove. Using a quick transfer and clean arm action he was able to reach 76 mph on his throws across the diamond.
9/13/15
5-foot-10, 160-pound strong build. Right-handed hitter with spread out stance and balanced. Starts slightly open and gets to even on his load. Throws from a short, high-3/4 slot with 73 mph arm strength across the diamond.
