8/1/17 6’1, 175-pound prospect. On the bump, the left-handed pitching prospect uses fluid tempo in his windup. At balance point he uses a drop and drive load to incorporate lower half. A cross fire type guy that lands slightly closed and has slinging arm action. The ball gets out of his hand well with his fastball being heavier than velo would suggest. Pounded the zone with the heater that had some sink to it. His primary secondary offering was his changeup. Does a very good job maintaining arm speed, giving the pitch a fastball look out of the hand. Also spins a playable breaking ball that works on a 1/7 plane. Used the offering as a chase pitch. Puts solid spin on the offering making it tight with depth. 60-yard Dash: 7.44 FB: 73-74 CB: 68-71
6/21/16 6-foot-1, 175-pound projectable frame. The southpaw has a slower windup before speeding up his tempo prior to release. Has some quickness to his arm while working through a high-¾ slot. Delivery requires regular effort. Has a three pitch mix to his arsenal with his fastball sitting 68-71 mph with slight cut at times. Curveball shows signs of sharpness on a 1/7 plane at 61-63 mph. Also flashed a changeup near fastball armspeed at 64-65 mph. At the plate he starts in a tall setup with his weight on his back leg before his short stride forward. Keeps his hands simple before taking an uphill path to the ball. Would benefit from weight transfer into contact. Registered an exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 5.0 down the line.
