6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect with good athletic ability. Projects as a pitcher at the next level, but shows potential as a position player. On the mound, he uses an inward front kick with quick arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Good lower body finish. He was coming back from injury, so he didn't throw any breaking balls. Arm looked effortless. Fastball ranged 86-89 mph with some late life. Split changeup showed downward sink at 76 mph. Showed feel for slurvy breaking ball in past outings. Looks to be back on track to being one of state's top 5 arms for 2013. Ran excellent 6.89 60-yard dash. Solid fielding skills around first base. Shows good feet and range. Upright stance as a hitter with good batspeed. Displays good lower body torque.
