6/5/18 Salinas is the type of prospect that you need to see in game to get a direct depiction of his skill set. A versatile defender who could be a corner infielder or a backstop at the next level. Swing shows more strength than speed presently. Gap type hitter who can drive the ball with authority to pull side. Has a college future and could be an early impact guy at the right level. 60-yard dash: 7.81 Pop Times: 2.09-2.23 Catcher Velocity: 68 Infield Velocity: 73 Exit Velocity: 82
7/18/17 A 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect. At the plate he hits from the right-side, starting in a balanced setup. Loading sequence creates energy through well timed movements. Launches from a balanced position with barrel accelerating behind his body. Does a nice job of finding plane and getting through contact. Strength and bat speed are above average tools. Behind the plate, he is mechanically sound and fluid. Catch and throw skills in general are well above average for his class. Arm has some whip to it and the ball gets out of his hand well. Throws were consistently on the bag. Much improved behind the plate since we saw him last. At third base he showed fluid, athletic actions. Mechanically sound with well above average ball skills. Looks to be able to play both positions at the next level. Home to First: 4.96 Pop Time: 2-2.07 Catcher Velo: 76 Inf Velo: 77 Exit Velo: 84
2/19/17 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect with solid frame. Behind the dish, he starts in a wide stance with his weight on his toes. Footwork is efficient and creates direction to second base. Transfer is clean. Uses short arm action and creates top velocity of 72 mph. Pop times ranged between 2.09 to 2.16 with accuracy. A strong kid with a fast bat. Showed feel for his pre launch movements and gets on plane early. Ball gets off his bat very well, producing line drives to all fields. Has the look of a middle of the order guy as he matures.
60 Yard Dash: 7.79 Pop Time: 2.09-2.16 Position Velocity: 72 Exit Velocity: 83
7/26/16 6-foot, 185-pound strong build. At the plate he keeps his rhythm during his loading sequence and creates solid energy into contact with his lower half. His batspeed is above average as he takes a flat path to the ball. Showed the ability to drive the ball to either gap and produce backspin on his line drives. Reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph with much more in the tank. A versatile defender that worked out both behind the plate and at third base. As of right now he is more advanced as an infielder. Feet work very well and his glove skills are impressive. Has above average athleticism for the position. Behind the plate his analysis is similar. Footwork is quick and efficient and transfer skills are there. Arm strength will be his area of improvement and will improve his 2.18-2.28 pop times. Ran a 7.87 60-yard dash.
6/15/16 6-foot-1, 185-pound strong, athletic frame. A versatile defender that showed the ability to play third and behind the plate. More advanced at third base at this point as he showed fluid footwork and athletic actions. Above average glove skills and lateral mobility. Threw across the infield with 70 mph arm strength. Behind the plate he is athletic with flexible hips. Still developing feel for the position. Expect his 2.13-2.21 to continue to improve as he matures as the catch and throw skills are there. At the plate he starts in a tall athletic setup prior to his knee pinch load and short stride. Gets the bat through the zone on a compact, level path. Definite strength and batspeed through the zone. Top exit velocity was 85 mph and he ran a 5.31 from home to first.
