6/21/16 6-foot, 140-pound athletic frame. At the plate he starts in a crouched setup before taking his short stride forward. Hands move back during his stride before taking a nice, level path to the ball. Would be aided by a more efficient lower half. Registered an exit velocity of 66 mph and ran a 4.74 from home to first. Behind the plate he has some quickness to his feet and transfer. Receiving and blocking skills are adequate. Will need to continue to improve arm strength. Pop times ranged from 2.17-2.22.
2/15/16 6-foot, 140-pound thin, projectable frame. Behind the plate he starts in a low, athletic crouch. Showed some quickness to his transfer and his pop times ranged from 2.32-2.42. Would like to see him gain more ground forward during his transfer. Using short arm action he threw with 67 mph arm strength to second base. At the plate he uses a toe turn load to initiate his lower half while keeping his hands simple. His bat gets in and out of the zone quickly and registered a top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 4.78 from home to first.
