6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect with good athleticism. Projects best on the mound with 81-83 mph fastball through high ¾ slot. Uses long arm action with some quickness to it. Showed a 70 mph breaking ball with 11/5 action. From the outfield, he uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. Good carry to his throws. Top velocity of 83 mph with accuracy. Needs to shorten up his transfer. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in an open stance. Somewhat of a choppy rhythm. Shows some quickness in his hands. Slight uphill path to the ball with pull tendencies in his swing. Registered a top exit velocity of 89 mph.
Hentz is a lanky, athletic prospect. While he worked at third base, he is better suited for the outfield. He uses a 3/4 arm slot and easy arm action to generate a top velocity of 77 mph from the outfield. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a balanced, open setup. Despite a tendency to bar his arm during his load, Hentz shows quick bat speed and generates some pop. He registered a 7.87 60-yard dash.
