Left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance, using a toe tap back to being squared up to even. Shows good strength in his swing with line drive production in his round of batting practice. 6/2/14
Improved physique since the last time that we saw him at an event. Really slimmed down his frame. More muscle than softness at this stage. Starts form a balanced stance. Uses a short stride. A little bit of stiffness in his swing. Tendency to spin a bit. Obvious power with quick bat speed through the zone. Top exit velocity of 91 mph. Tripled and singled to left center in game play. With improved body, he has made the transition to the outfield, where he likely projects as a left field type. Top velocity of 77 mph on his throws. Also worked out at first base. Ran a much improved 7.09 60.

7/29/13
5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect with strong, muscular frame. Big time bat from the left side. Good balance. Stays behind the baseball. Takes uphill path to the ball. Drove multiple balls out of OSU’s Bill Davis stadium in batting practice. Consistently squared up the baseball. One of the top swings at the Underclass Games event. Defensively, he plays an adequate first base. Needs to continue improving footwork and accuracy on his throws.
