6-foot-6, 220-pound right-hander committed to Oakland University shortly after the event. Long legs with a big frame. Easily projectable at this stage. Throws through high ¾ arm slot. Long, stiff type arm action. Fastball sits at 81-84 mph with some run. Locates on both sides of the plate. Breaking ball sits at 65-68 mph. Gradual 12/6 break, but good depth to the pitch. Changeup is thrown near fastball arm speed at 77 mph.
2/24/13
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound righty is still learning how to use his body. With improvements to the use of his lower half, he could emerge as one of the top pitching prospects in his class. Still, he generates an 80-83 mph fastball with some arm side run. His curveball is soft at 62-65 mph with gradual 11/5 break. He also showed a slurvey type breaking ball at 64-65 mph. His changeup, which fluctuates between 66-70 mph, has room for growth. He slows his arm down and lacks command.
