5-foot-11, 170-pound average build. In the box Chris starts open before using a short stride to get back to even. Takes his hands back during stride before getting through the zone on an uphill path. Uphill path creates topspin on line drives. Good twitch through the zone. More energy into contact would improve pop and help produce backspin. Registered an exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 4.53 from home to first. Solid footwork in the outfield with the ability to play through the ball. Threw to home plate with 74 mph arm strength.
1/31/16
5-foot-11, 170 pounds with an average frame. At the plate the righty starts with a slightly open, crouched set up. Using a small leg kick he is able to create good forward energy into contact. Hands stay simple as he rotates his front shoulder inward for added torque. Exit velocity was 87 mph and he ran a 4.27 from home to first. In the outfield he did a good job off keeping his momentum into his throws by fielding the ball on his glove side foot and getting decent use out of his crow hop. Would like to see him finish his throws. From a high-3/4 slot he showed 76 mph arm strength to home plate.
7/20/15
5-foot-10, 160 pounds with an average frame. Ran a 7.00 60 yard dash time. The right handed hitter offers a simplistic swing with short stride. Linedrive type hitter that can use the whole field. Exit velocity of 77 mph. In the outfield, he uses somewhat long arm action through a ¾ slot. Topped out at 76 mph. Plays the game the right way.
2/16/15
5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. From the outfield he displayed good footwork approaching ground balls but could improve crow hop mechanics that will also lead to increased velocity on his throws. He throws using a clean arm action through a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 73 mph. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and stays balanced. Swing gets in and out of the hitting zone with occasional power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 79 mph off a tee and ran 7.18-60.
2/23/14
5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect with small, athletic frame. From the outfield, he uses long arm action. Top velocity of 63 mph. Will improve as he plays through the baseball. In the infield, he tends to play from his heels. Average hands. Top velocity of 62 mph. Long transfer. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance. Uses a leg kick with a short stride. Short path to the ball. Line drive production. Top exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.38 60.
