5-foot-9, 155-pound thin build with room to fill out. From the outfield he plays through ground balls with good footwork, uses a clean arm action coming from an upper ¾ slot using 78 mph arm strength. Offensively he starts from a slightly open set up getting back to being squared up, also uses an inward turn with his front foot, has a fluid hands back to shoulder trigger, contact type hitter that produced a top exit velocity of 81 mph. He ran a 4.70 down the line. Throws his fastball with quicker arm speed and a whippier arm action through a ¾ slot. Gets good torque from his core in his delivery that requires regular effort. His fastball was between 82-86 mph with arm side run at times. Curveball is thrown at 11/5 tilt with good sharp break at 71-75 mph. Throws a hard change with fastball armspeed at 80 mph.

Also uses a 73-75 mph changeup.
7/29/13
5-foot-8, 150-pound prospect with small, athletic build. Projects as a pitcher at this stage. Demonstrated command of three pitches. Throws with quick arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball sat 83-85 mph with some late life. Filled up the zone with the pitch. Uses a 67-69 mph breaking ball with sharp 11/5 break. Tended to be up in the zone on this occasion, but showed two planes and ability to keep hitters off balance. Also uses a 78 mph changeup thrown near fastball arm speed with some fade. In the field, he uses short arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. Reached top velocity of 78 mph across the infield. Showed average hands and feet. Transfer gets a bit long. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance. Uses a short stride. Takes short, level path to the ball with some line drive production. Registered top exit velocity of 78 mph.
