8/7/16 6-foot, 170-pound, athletic frame. Chase continues to show that he is one of the most talented defensive catchers in the 2017 class. He has above average catch and throw skills at this stage registering pop times between 2.01-2.08. Arm is also above average. Where he separates himself is his advanced receiving abilities. He was able to steal multiple strikes during game action. Blocking abilities are there. Also shows obvious leadership qualities. Will need to continue to fill out and add strength, but defensively he will be able to contribute the minute he steps on a college campus. At the plate he has narrowed his stance since the last time we saw him which looks to allowed him to get more efficient use out of his lower half. If his offensive abilities catch up to his defensive abilities he is going to be a late steal for a college program.
