5/2/15 The 6-foot-3, 185-pound righty did a solid job on the mound, throwing out of a ¾ arm slot. The righty mixed a slider at 72-74 mph with a fastball at the 83-85 mph range. Casey has a slightly closed stride, which could be a longer in length. He also could benefit from using his lower half and torso to create more torque. His arm is strong and loose to go with an athletic body. He competes in the zone and battles with runners on base.  Definitely a college pitcher, maybe two-way player.

7/23/13 Projects well.  Longer release in the infield.  Will most likely move to 3B long term.  Still has plenty of time.  H3/4 slot from infield.  Accurate arm and soft hands.  Long release from the infield.  Fast bat at plate.  Intriguing player with room to grow.

6/6/12
6-foot, 145-pound two-way prospect with thin frame. Registered a 7.46 60-yard dash. In the field, he shows good anticipation and actions. Uses short arm action through low ¾ arm slot to reach top velocity of 70 mph across the infield. Shows soft hands and quick, clean transfer. At the plate, he starts with a wide stance. Uses a small leg kick to trigger his swing. He is a contact type hitter with a flat path to the ball. Will improve as he physically matures. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed. Delivery requires some effort. His fastball sits 74-75 mph and shows some sink. Curveball is 66-68 mph with 12/6 downward tilt. Changeup (67-70 mph) lacks effective command. Tends to slow down his arm speed.
