8/7/16 A projectable frame with room to fill out at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Throws from a near sidearm arm slot that many hitters struggled against.Fastball sat 69-71 mph and had arm side sink. Threw his breaking ball at 63 mph with a sweeping action across the zone. Has fluidity to his movements at the plate. Timing was the factor in performance. When he was on time he drove the ball to both fields in batting practice with impressive pop. Batspeed is above average and he showed strength through contact. Reached a top exit velocity of 84 mph. Glove plays at the next level as he showed confidence and the ability to handle short hops. Footwork will need to be more efficient moving forward. Threw across the infield with 72 mph arm strength.
6/6/16 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic, projectable frame. Starts in a tall, open setup before using a toe turn to load his lower half. At the beginning of his batting practice round he had his foot down very early which stopped his fluidity and caused inconsistencies. However, he made the adjustment to get down later which kept his fluidity and he was much better the second half of his round. Bat has some quickness to it with good whip through the zone. Registered an exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Nice long, lean frame. His hands are average and need to improve for consistent middle infield play. Arm strength and foot speed needs to improve to play on the left side at the next level. May be limited to third base. Reached a top velocity of 74 mph on his throws.
10/18/15
6-foot, 170-pound athletic build. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets back to even. Little leg kick to load to get his weight and hands back. Short, compact swing that stays flat thru the zone with a slightly high finish. Registered top exit velocity of 75 mph and ran a 7.51-60. In the infield he shows good range especially up the middle. Fields the ball out in front of his body with a clean transfer. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with 66 mph arm strength across the diamond. On the mound he shows regular effort in his delivery. Throws from a short, low 3/4 slot but not quite submarine. Creates a lot of deception in his delivery with a fastball sits 68-71 mph with sink to it. Spins a sweeping breaking ball at 56-59 mph and showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 61-62 mph and some arm side run to it.
6/8/15 5-foot-11, 160-pound thin build, with room to fill out with. The infielder stops his feet when ground balls are hit at him, and can improve his footwork by playing through the baseball. He shows the ability to move well laterally and covers some ground. He throws using a clean, short arm action coming through a low ¾ to side arm slot. He reached a top velocity of 67 mph on his throws across the infield. Switch hitter, from the left side of the plate he hits from a slightly open stance getting himself back to being squared up to even. He uses a slight, fluid hands back load. He swings with an upward bat path, finishing high with a two-handed follow through and reached a top exit velocity of 72 mph from the left side. From the right side of the plate he sets up in a similar stance, being slightly open getting back to being squared up to even. Doesn’t use much of a load with his hands. He swings with a more level bat path through the zone right-handed and finishes with a one-handed follow through, and reached a top exit velocity of 70 mph. He ran a 7.72 60-yard dash.
9/25/19 Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works quick, throws strikes and doesn’t have much effort to delivery. Compact arm that hides the baseball well. Very efficient out there. Fastball: Velo isn’t overwhelming but he moves the pitch around the zone and the pitch didn’t get squared up through outing. 79-82 mph. Curveball: Above average offering. Tight spin with good depth making it tough to pick up before it drops off the table on an 11/5 shape. 72-73 mph. Changeup: Above average third offering with some fade at 77 mph. Pitchability: Fills it up.
