2/12/17 6-foot-2, 170-pound projectable frame. ‘17 RHP Cade Rybolt, a Dayton recruit, figures to pitch early once he joins the Flyers program. The Springfield Shawnee product looked electric at times with a quick arm that generated a heavy fastball that touched up to 90 mph. His feel for two secondary offerings and ability to run/cut his fastball should allow him to be effective against both righties and lefties.
6/7/16 A two-way prospect with 6-foot-2, 160-pound projectable frame. More attractive as a prospect on the mound at this point. Lanky projectable build on the mound. Shows some rhythm in his delivery that is max effort. Gets some tilt with his hips down the mound, landing on line at foot strike. Long and loose back arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball shows good life at 84-88 mph. Good breaking ball at 73-76 mph with sharp 11/5 break. Starts out in a wide setup at the plate before starting his timing with a leg kick load. During his forward movement his hands stay loaded before getting through the zone on a downhill path. Has average batspeed at this stage. Registered an exit velocity of 85 mph and ran a 6.83 60-yard dash. His best tool in the infield is his arm as he fired the ball across the infield with 84 mph arm strength. Has some quickness to his footwork. Tends to field the ball deep. Average glove skills at this point.
2/21/16 6-foot-2, 155-pound prospect with long, athletic frame. Throws from a high ¾ slot with some quickness to his arm speed. Delivery requires some effort. Typically sat at 84-86 mph, but ran it up to 88 mph with occasional arm side run. Throws a hard 76-78 mph slider. When effective, it showed late 11/5 break with tight spin. Good arm speed to the pitch. Also mixed in a 75-76 mph changeup with some sink. In the infield he shows his athleticism with his range. Soft hands with a clean exchange and shows an impressive 84 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Leg kick to load with a flat swing that stays thru the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran 4.66 home to first.
2/7/15 6-foot, 140-pound projectable frame. From the infield he plays too upright and fields the ball into his body. Shows average range with a stiff lower-½. Throws from a loose ¾ slot with 71 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with his hands starting away from his body. Little leg kick to load with a flat swing. Registered top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 4.20 down the line. On the mound the lanky righty has good direction at foot strike and was able to pound the zone. Throws from an easy, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 74-76 mph. Lowers his arm slot on his slider at 70-71 mph with late break. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 68 mph.
