6-foot-1, 170 pound two way prospect. Smooth in the field showing soft hands, and decent footwork. Plays well through the ball. Needs to quicken exchange. Registered a top arm velocity of 75 mph across the infield. At the plate, he starts in a slightly open stance, and uses a short stride. Smooth load. Features a strong swing that can poke the gaps at times. Registered a top exit velocity of 75 mph. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. Good tempo. Easy effort guy, as the ball jumps out of his hand. Featured a 77-79 mph fastball that showed some arm side run. Also used an 11/5 tilt, 60-62 mph curveball that showed good depth.
7/29/13
6-foot-1, 175-pound infielder. Uses short arm action through high ¾ arm slot. Reached top velocity of 71 mph across the infield. Needs to keep his feet moving through the baseball and creates better angles. Starts with an open stance from the right-side. Smooth load with short stride. Takes short path to the ball. Line drive type production. Ran a 4.65 out of the box.
2/10/13
6-foot-1, 165-pound two-way prospect. From the outfield, he shows long arm action through a ¾ arm slot as he reaches a top velocity of 83 mph. Uses a crow hop and plays through, but needs to quicken his transfer. Shows good actions in the infield with ability to throw from several different angles (78 mph). Best tool might be his arm at present. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a narrow stance. Uses an uphill path to the ball and creates lift. Gets his lower half through. Uses a one hand finish to his swing. Projectable hurler that uses moderate upper 3/4 arm slot. Has long backside arm extension. Needs to better incorporate his lower half. Fastball has some am side run (78-80 mph). Shows arm action on change up (67-68 mph). Cutter is his best breaking ball, having some late bite (72-76 mph). Currently shows little feel for curve (60 mph).
