7/6/16
Tall 6-foot-5, 180-pound thin, projectable body frame. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance, using simple swing mechanics. Would like to see him incorporate more of his lower half into his swing. Minimal load with his hands, that get to a good launch position before he swings. Swings with a level bat path through the zone, showing the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. Reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. In the infield, he has a tendency to field the ball a little too deep to his body. Throws with a short back arm action into a high ¾ slot with 69 mph arm strength. On the mound he throws with a full over the head wind up, in a delivery in which he uses regular effort. Straight up and down, controlled leg kick, landing in a straight line at foot strike, finishing in good direction, toward home plate. Throws with a short arm action, using average arm speed through a ¾ slot. Fastball was thrown between 74-77 mph. Curveball has mostly gradual break, but projects nicely thrown consistently at 69 mph.
