8/7/16 6-foot-1, 195 pound solid, athletic build used a good rhythm to a delivery that requires moderate effort. Has a short arm action into a high ¾ arm slot which is fastball sat 78-82 mph. Spun a tight 12/6 curveball that was 67-69 mph. Change was mixed in at 76-78 mph. A very athletic prospect that showed tools that make him attractive as a position player as well. Ran a very impressive, 4.18 from home to first. Arm strength is well above average as he topped out at 87 mph from the outfield. A left-handed swinger that ues a simple hands back load during his short stride forward. Hands have explosiveness to them as the bat flashes through the zone with obvious batspeed and strength through contact. Would be aided by a more efficient lower half, as hips tends to get cut off. Worked well to his pull side. Reached a top exit velocity of 85 mph.
6/7/16 A two-way prospect with a 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic frame. Generates most of his pop from his upper half. A strong kid that takes a flat path to the ball producing consistent hard contact in batting practice. Would see an increase in pop and his 84 mph exit velocity with a more efficient lower half. In the outfield he does a nice job of playing through the baseball and finishing his throws. Average hands and feet at this stage. Threw with 80 mph arm strength to home plate. Easy rhythm in his delivery on the mound. Comes to a balance point at the top of his delivery before a down then out leg kick. Good separation before showing a short back arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with the breaking ball sitting 71-73 mph with sharp 12/6 break. Changeup sat 71 mph.
6/2/15 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic build. In the infield he projects more as a 3B type. Shows a quick exchange and average range. Athletic enough to throw from different arm slots with 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. Left-handed hitter with a spread out stance that keeps him balanced. Slightly up hill swing with some strength and 84 mph exit velocity. Ran 4.58 home to first. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery with some effort at the end of his delivery. Throws from a long, high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 79-82 mph with some sink. Shows good command of his breaking ball at 71-74 mph with 11/5 tilt. Showcased a changeup at 74-75 mph with good arm speed and some arm side run.
6/16/14 Solid 6-foot-1, 180-pound mature build. From the infield he would benefit from being a little more aggressive playing through the baseball. He uses a short arm action coming from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 80 mph on his throws. Maybe better suited as a third-baseman. Left-handed hitter starts with a balanced set up, uses a hands back to shoulder trigger, and an inward turn with his front foot for a timing mechanism. Shows the ability to use both sides of the field reaching a top exit velocity of 79 mph. He ran a 4.52 down to first base. From the mound he uses a long arm action with average armspeed coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball was 77-80 mph. Curveball showed downward gradual break at 67-71 mph. He also threw a hard changeup with fastball armspeed at 72-74 mph.
