5/31/16 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic build. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup before initiating his swing sequence through a small leg kick load and controlled stride. Stays fluid throughout his load before getting the bat through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Above average strength and batspeed at this stage. Reached a top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 4.64 from home to first. In the outfield he showed some confidence in his glove but will need to improve footwork. A more efficient crow hop would easily improve his 77 mph arm strength. On the mound he shows choppy rhythm in his delivery that requires some effort. Lands square and falls towards first base on his follow through. Throws from a short arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 74-79 mph. Curveball shows sharp break on an 11/5 plane at 63-67 mph.
1/18/16 5-foot-11, 180-pound strong build. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. At the plate the righty starts with a wider, balanced set up. Uses a short stride with little hand movement to remain short and compact through the zone. Hands tend to leak forward a little early. Exit velocity was 83 mph. In the outfield he did a good job of playing low through the ball and getting momentum into his throws. Throws showed some carry with 77 mph arm strength to home plate. On the mound the righty used good tempo with quick, clean arm action from an over the top slot. Tends to fall off to the third base side. Fastball sat 73-75 mph and was complimented by a 61-64 mph curveball with gradual break at an 11/5 tilt. Displayed good feel for his 64-68 mph change up that had some sink when down in the zone. 7/29/14 Young 5-foot-10, 165-pound body frame. From the outfield position he does a good job playing through the baseball on ground balls for the most part, can improve crow hop, reached a top velocity of 74 mph. Offensively, he starts from a balanced set up, uses both fields well and shows good power for his age when he short hopped the wall out in left-field in a game at bat. He uses a weight shift with his lower half to his back leg before he swings to produce power. He reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 4.65 down the line to first-base.
