From shortstop he shows good footwork using, showing fluid type actions. Showed quick release with clean short arm action reaching a top velocity of 78 mph. Looks more natural as an infielder at this point. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance getting back to even, with his weight slightly starting back more on his back leg. Uses a small hands back trigger, would benefit from added strength to his frame. He reached a top exit velocity of 84 mph.
6/19/13 Registered a 7.6 60-yard dash. The multi-position player showed a short ¾ arm action to register 74 mph across the diamond and 72 from the crouch. Has explosive movements and foot speed from the field and behind the plate. Needs to stay more compact on throws from the catching position which will help reduce his split time (2.15-2.30). At the plate he closes off with his front long and has a level bat path. Line drive to opposite field hitter.
6/2/15 - 6-foot-3, 175-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he showed good mobility and has really improve his skills. Soft hands receiving with a clean exchange and quick release. Showed as one of the best catch and throw guys at the showcase. From a short, high-3/4 slot his pop times ranged between 1.94-2.12 with 76 mph arm strength to second base. Right-handed hitter with a leg kick to load and jumps at the ball with a slightly uphill swing. Registered top exit velocity of 88 mph and ran 4.62 home to first.
