2/12/17 A very projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. Levy, a member of Ohio University’s 2017 class, has big time upside that has to have the Bobcat staff excited for him to get on campus. The Princeton HS standout gets from launch to contact as fast as any prospect in attendance. Levy swings with the intent to do damage and doesn’t get cheated. He showed the ability to turn on the baseball with authority or go the other way when needed. He displayed an impressive combination of strength and bat speed by registering an exit velocity of 96 mph with a wood bat. In the infield he possesses adequate glove skills and efficient footwork. Look for him to stay on the left-side of the infield for the Bobcats, with enough athleticism and arm to move to the outfield if need be.
6/6/16 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic, projectable frame. Starting to make a name for himself as one of the top left-handed bats in the 2017 class. Creates efficient energy with his lower half through a leg kick load and aggressive stride. A handsy hitter that has excellent bat speed through the zone with impressive whip to the barrel. He is able to get on plane with the ball very early which gives him a large margin of error with his timing resulting in a lot of barrelled balls. Registered an exit velocity of 94 mph and ran a 6.86 60-yard dash. Likely destined for second base, third base, or a corner outfield spot. Long, lean frame. His hit skills and power will translate better in the OF. Currently lacks the lateral speed to play shortstop at the next level, but his elite arm makes up for some deficiencies. Top velocity of 83 mph across the infield.
5/31/16 Athletic kid with a projectable build at 6-foot-2, 175-pound build. Impressed all day with his ability to swing the bat from the left side and earned himself a Top Prospect Games invitation. Has an aggressive approach at the plate with the ability to remain under control during his aggressive stride, creating efficient energy into contact. A handsy hitter with a very fast bat and a flat path. Knows the strike zone well. Showed his power potential with multiple home runs in batting practice and three extra base hits in the game. Registered an exit velocity of 90 mph and ran a 4.4 from home to first. Defensively he has solid actions at shortstop with some fluidity. Plays through the ball and showed off 83 mph arm strength across the diamond.
2/7/15 6-foot-1, 160-pound projectable build. From the infield he stops his feet before he fields the baseball instead of working through it. Decent exchange and throw from a ¾ slot with 77 mph arms strength across the diamond. Left-handed hitter with a leg kick to load and shows some power to the pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 89 mph and ran 4.51 down the line.
7/29/14 6-foot-1, 150 pound projectable frame. The infielder works well squaring up the baseball and staying down on the ball. His hands are soft and throws from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 76 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that uses a leg kick to load and shows good bat speed with a flat bat path. His top exit velocity is 85 mph and was 4.5 home to first.
