Richard Miller 3B (Canisius HS, 2015)

8-16-14
Miller Stands 5-foot-11 190-pounds with a solidly built frame. At 3B he stays behind the baseball, uses soft hands and a quick clean transfer. He throws from a high ¾ slot with 84 mph arm strength. He bats from the left side, has a balanced approach with a short leg lift and stride on the pitch. He generates impressive bat speed at 91 mph off a tee, his bat path is slightly inclined through the zone with extension after contact and a one handed high finish. The Towson commit is our No. 37 ranked player in the 2015 class.
7/20/14 Miller impressed with the top bat exit velocity at the event at 93 mph. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound left-handed hitter showcased an explosive lower half from a square stance and legitimate power potential. Miller went 3-for-9 with a double in game action while showing the ability to make consistent hard contact. The uncommitted senior ran a solid 7.29 60-yard dash and displayed an 81 mph arm across the diamond while playing through the baseball. Miller created a buzz among scouts in attendance and is likely to draw considerable interest over the coming months.
