April 2016
Right-handed hitting infielder who showed good foot speed and a feel for playing the game. The glove is solid and he shows a right side of the infield arm. The foot speed and range and solid. Hits in the 2-hole and shows the ability to spread the field, and power the ball. His pitch recognition is good as he saw a bunch of pitches. Homered to left field later in the game, swing is simple and on time. He stays in his legs and lets the hands/barrel do the work
Unsigned Senior Showcase (October 3, 2015)

New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)
Strong, thick, athletic body frame of 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Stays deep but has good range from side to side, very strong arm with good accuracy to target, uses a high-3/4 arm slot, glove and hands work well together. At the plate begins with an opened setup, short stride to the ball with a smooth load, keeps the bat on a level plane with very strong hands and compact swing through the zone, finishes high but very balanced. Pitching - On the mound he uses a repeatable delivery, quick loose arm action, from a high, slightly over-the-top slot. Fastball sat 80-82, seen him up to 85 this high school season (lot of innings from SS and mound) curveball has 12/6 shape at 71 mph - tight spin, changeup was 72 but did not show much. High-end that’s a bit tired right now.

New York Top Prospects Games (August 16, 2015)
Pitching - Malachowski stands 6-foot-1 185-pounds with a pitchers frame and athletic build. On the mound he uses a high knee lift, hands very high by his face, and leans back some on his back side. He drives forward off a slightly bent back leg with shoulder alignment towards homeplate. He throws from a power high ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 81-83 mph with good life. His curveball shows quick hand speed at 73 mph with 11/7 shape with late bit. He needs to work on finishing his pitches more over his front side to get more extension and action on the ball. Interesting prospect to follow. SS/Hitting - In the infield he gets to the ball with ease, low effort actions, fields the ball out in front with a fast transfer and throws from a high ¾ slot with 79 arm strength. His size is a plus and his actions are smooth and projectable. At the plate he sets up with his weight shifted on his back leg, hands shoulder height. On the pitch he uses a slight back load, leg lift with small stride and he drives his hands and hips to the ball generating powerful bat speed up 90 mph. He has long extension after contact and a shoulder height balanced finish. Prospect to keep an eye on.

Southeast NY Prospect ID Games (July 2, 2014)
Malachowski stands 6-foot-1 185-pounds and athletic. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 slot with a fastball sitting 79-81 mph. He curveball has 11/6 shape with gradual bend at 70 mph using good hand speed. At SS he uses good baseball actions getting around the ball with good footwork. He fields the ball out in front of his body and throws 79 mph from a high 3/4 slot. His transfer was clean but has a longer arm action. At the plate he has his weight on back leg during his approach. He loads back and uses a small toe tap before the swing. His swing is on a slight incline through the zone. His exit velocity was 90 mph showing impressive hands and strength for his age. He ran a 7.3 60 yard dash.
