Very clean and smooth approach in the field, quick glove and hand work, has average range side to side but makes up for it with clean, loose arm action towards target. Good arm strength as well. At the plate setup is slightly open, uses short toe touch to begin movement to the pitch, hands and bat stay on a level swing plane to the ball. Hands are quick and compact through the hitting zone and ends with a high finish. Some projection with a contact approach.

O'Connor stands 6-foot-0, 165 pounds with a lean build. At the plate he starts with a slightly open stance, heel up, hands relaxed. On the pitch he loads back, small stride, hands power to the ball on a short path, long extension out in front, high finish. At SS he stays behind the ball, shows side to side quick feet, ball gets a little deep on him, quick transfer, short arm action, throws from a low-3/4 slot with arm strength at 73 mph. He ran a 7.06 60 yard dash.
