8-16-14
Carey stands 6-foot-2 170-pounds with a projectable frame with a lot to like. He plays the outfield well and moves faster than his times suggest. He read a ball off the ball well in the game portion and made a diving superman catch in the gap showing great athleticism. He fields the ball glove side, uses a small crow hop for momentum and throws from a high ¾ slot, 81 mph, with a loose arm that projects more in the tank. At the plate he starts with a wide stance and weight shifted back. On the pitch he back loads and uses a small stride for timing, His bat path is long, hands cast some but bat stays level through the zone and shows consistent strong contact.

Carey stands 6-foot-2 170-pounds and has an athletic build with projection. His setup is athletic and tall with a wide approach and slightly open. He uses a leg lift and short stride before the swing. His bat path is slightly inclined with his hands close to his body. His exit velocity was 85 mph off a tee.
In the OF he field the all in front and uses a small crow hope standing a little upright. He throws from an over the top slot with some carry at 77 mph. His arm action and transfer were both clean. He ran a 7.38 60 yard dash.
