LHP Young (St. Dominic HS, NY), who stands at a long and skinny 6-foot-10, 205 pounds, closed things out in the seventh. He allowed the first two to reach before getting two outs. He allowed a walk with first base open, but got a strikeout to seal the 2-1 victory. He sat 84-86 with a 73-mph curveball.

Area Code Workout (Summer 2015)

6-foot-10, lean LHP flashed 85-88 with life, huge extension and H 3/4 slot,so ball comes out of his sleeve. For a big kid, was impressed by his feel. Arm speed on the changeup was very good at 74 mph with solid bottom to it. Curve/Slider was next pitch showed correct rotation, but will need to throw harder as it was a 74 mph and not consistent. Not many kids his size repeat, but for his size he's highly athletic.

Spring - 2015

Fluid arm action, unbelievable coordination for his size, a fastball up to 84 now, reports up to 87, the Hofstra commit brings next-level projection at both college and the pro ranks. When he completely figures it out on the mound he could bring electric stuff. Excited to watch his talents unfold.
