Hipsman was one of the top performers for Team NY/NJ at the Futures Games, showed why he'll be a force to deal with at the top of the lineup the next two years. The LHH was on base 3 times with a walk, triple and an infield single. Swiped two bags and was 11.63 seconds from box to bag on his triple with a head first slide.
Procase (June 26, 2016)
Hipsman is 5-foot-10 160-pounds with a very high ceiling. Richmond commit. Ran a 7.04 60. Was one of, if not the top offensive player for Team NY/NJ. Recorded five hits on the weekend, including two extra base hits. Offensively- starts in a neutral stance with hands just above shoulder. Uses a leg kick and smooth hand load to start swing. Very smooth, effortless left handed swing with gap to gap pop. Defensively- throws topped at 81 mph from the outfield with some arm side run. High-3/4 arm action, hands were smooth exchange was quick and effortless.
