Academic Games (June 3, 2017)

Athletic 6-foot-0 180 pound frame. Ran a 4.73 home-to-1B. Offensively- Loads hands effectively and shows good balance. Pitching positive hip tilt at the balance, effective out in front, release point. Down-to-level swing path with some uphill to his finish. Personal best 87 MPH exit velocity (+3 from Feb. 2017). Defensively- Effective utilization of back foot leads to accurate throwing to second base, generates arm speed as a catcher, fluid motion. Pop time ranged from 1.99-2.06, his first sub 2.0 recording. Arm strength was 73 MPH.  Pitching- Controlled windup with a mid-length arm circle from a high 3/4 slot. FB ranged 72-75 MPH with a big break 12-to-6 CB at 60-62 MPH. FB at times had some unintentional cut action but was effective.

Winter Open (February 26, 2017)
Athletic frame at 6-foot-0 180 pounds. He ran a 7.53 60 and a 4.40 home-to-1B. Offensively- Sightly open setup; sitting with weight towards back leg; semi-flat bat angle with a short load of the hands and stride. Lower half works well but had a slashing action down and out of the hitting zone, resulting in weaker pull side contact. Exit velocity with another significant jump to 84 MPH (up 6 MPH from last year). Staying level longer within the zone will allow for him to reach more a gap potential as a hitter. Defensively- Balanced, low to the ground secondary setup behind the plate. Exchanges feet in a positive direction with a with a slight hesitation in his transfer. Throws were strong (74 MPH) and online with with a pop time range of 2.09-2.16, both significant improvements from prior events. Pitching- Noticeable improvement in the velocity category, now with his fastball sitting 77-78 MPH and down in the zone. Uses a slightly lengthened arm action from being a catcher. Showed a good feel for a late action 12-to-6 CB at 61-64 MPH and some gradual fade to his arm side with his change up (68-69 MPH). Repeats delivery from a center rubber setup; mid chest balance point staying closed into landing with decent arm extension.
NY State Open ID (January 31, 2016)
Jeremy is an athletic 5-foot-10 165 pound C/RHP, who added some gains in the strength department. He ran an improved 7.39 60 and a 4.39 home to 1B. Offensively- Jeremy starts with his feet just outside his shoulders and a hand position just above the shoulder with a 30 degree angle. Creates good separation with load of his hands (bat elevates to 45 degees). Gains minimal ground with stride while staying back. Aggressive back foot/hip rotation with some leveling prior to contact that stays through the zone. High finish with hands and an improved exit velocity of 78 MPH (up 12 MPH from 2/28/15). Line drive/groundball results. Defensively- Jeremy is one of the few who catch and pitch. Behind the plate he receives from a balanced position. Proper turn over and retrieval on blocks. Arm strength behind the plate was 68 MPH with his pop time ranging between 2.19-2.32. Improved transfer and quicker feet should bring him down to the low to sub 2.1 range. Pitching- On the mound Jeremy uses a slight side step up to a mid chest balance point. Stride lands closed and slighty to the 3B line while arm works through a high 3/4 slot. Slight recoil into his finish. FB sat 73-74 MPH with his 2S showing some sink and arm side run. Change up demonstrated down action at 67-68 MPH with his CB having 12-to-6 shape with late break at 60-61 MPH. Good early season feel for secondary pitches, was able to command all three. To early to tell where he will project best at as he is proficient in both areas.
October 24, 2015
Showed a much improved skill set behind the plate with pop times ranging 2.19-2.22. Much improved from his 2.40 best at the Futures Showcase in February. Hits with an open stance and tends to pull off to pull side. On the mound he features a low 70's FB with 12-6 action on the breaking ball. Needs continue feel here. Updated Exit Velocity (1/13/16): 76 MPH.
Summer 2015
Jeremy has dramatically improved behind the plate, staying lower with his throwdowns, improving in the dirt and becoming softer when receiving. On the mound he is a low to mid 70's arm that throws strikes and is developing a feel for his secondary offerings. At the plate he hits from an even and balanced stance. Tends to get tied up with his take back, cramping his hands. Uses lower half well. Groundball/line drive results.
Futures Showcase (February 28, 2015)
Lieberman stands an athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Offensively- At the plate he stands tall, with his hands slightly over his head.  Brings his hands back to shoulder height on load.  Uses a soft toe tap for timing.  Hands are straight and level to the ball.  Gets full hip rotation.  Was a little inconsistent with his finish.  He should find better success letting the pitch travel deeper in the zone.  Exit velocity was (66mph).  Defensively- Behind the plate he shows soft hands and good framing technique.  He stays low through his throws to second with a low 3/4 arm angle. Gains ground towards second on his transfer.  Moves well blocking balls.  Good athlete, (2.4sec) pop time. Pitching- On the mound Lieberman start with his hands out front and bring them belt level during his side step.  Uses a mid to high level leg lift.  Back leg breaks down slightly at balance point. Gets good rotation over landing foot.  Shows above average arm strength for his age.  Threw an effortless FB (75mph), from a high 3/4 arm slot.  Good FB to CH differential. Look for his velocity to rise as he matures and gets stronger.
