Maddison has a plus frame for a pitcher standing 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Short, straighter leg lift during delivery, hands separate away from his body, sits hard on his back side. Arm action is deep, longer, towards 2B. He throws from a high, over-the-top slot with serious shoulder tilt, fastball jumps at 80-84 mph with downward action. Curveball sits 60-63, barriers it a lot, some late action when he gets out in front, showed mostly loose action. Maddison is a strong big-bodied arm that has a unique arm-slot that creates some deception to hitter.

Good athletic stature of 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Good glove and hand action during fielding, throws over the top with good arm strength and carry to the target. Quality instincts as a fielder, will improve with more hard work. At the plate setup is open and relaxed, quick back load and short stride to the pitch. Bat path is long with some extension, keeps bat plane level with some uphill tilt after contact. Pitching- Great pitchers build sitting 79-81 MPH with good downhill action on FB from a high 3/4 slot slightly over-the-top with tilt. Curveball showed 12/6 action at 60-61 MPH. Possibly freeing up his arm slot would allow for better velocity but would change shape of breaking ball. Power mid-3/4 slot would provide his frame with the best velocity.
