Stankiewicz is a very projectable pitcher at 6-foot-4 215-pounds. Lanky frame, has room to add muscle and thus, add velocity. Sat 85 MPH with curveball at 70-72. Windup is controlled, throws from a high-3/4 slot. At balance point, sinks his back leg slightly. Loose arm but low front gloveside. If he can get that glove side up, it will deter him from falling down the mound as he tends to fall to first base side on finish.

7/16/15 – Stankiewicz is athletic and has broad shoulders ready to put on mass. He is currently 6-foot-4, 205 pounds. The young right-handed prospect pitches with clean direction and smooth repeatable mechanics. He has an easy arm action with some elbow climb whip to it. In this simulated inning, Stankiewicz utilized a very solid 3-pitch mix; fastball, curveball, and changeup. His fastball had some present angle with potential for more as he learns to use his lower half more aggressively. His velocity ranged between 81 and 85 MPH. He showcased plus-plus spin on a curveball with 12-to-6 shape (68-72 MPH) and a changeup with fastball arm speed and late dive at 76-78. He is a high upside arm who will be closely followed from this point forward.
